Season of Light

This year sadly, two of our clients passed away from the same family. Our hearts go out to them. I was reminded by a granddaughter how happy she was to have inherited the photo of her grandfather and her son that Doug had captured only months before.

Recording a family through generations is a true privilege we take very much to heart.

In my father's family there was a family portrait taken in 1925. Though my father's family was very poor, the photo was a priority for my grandmother Stana, who I was named for. She saved for that photo for months I'm told.

That great photo hangs in the homes of myself and my cousins and links our children to the stories of their immigrant great grandparents, grandparents and the bonds that hold our extended and treasured clan tight today. We see ourselves in our parents, siblings, children. When the living light of our loved ones fades, the meaning of a photographic light truly is timeless.

In the season of holiday and family reunions, take many photos, print them and cherish what each individual brings to the legacy of our families.

Wishing all a season of light! Stana Milodragovich & Doug and Mila Loneman
