Sleeping Baby
SQUEEZABLE
Today this boy came to the studio for his Kids Session. His mom had seen our images in the maternity ward at Bozemn Deaconess Hospital and LillyLu and loved them. I am so glad his parents brought him in for a session. He's a sweet kid and he made our morning brighter. He is exactly in person as he appears in the images.
His parents will be getting accordion books, one of our latest products. They were many of the parents responding to our "We Love Kids" promotion, which is still in effect until March 15th.

Baby Blues
With warmer weather creeping into the valley and a small promise of Spring in the air we are gearing up for more kids sessions. Kids will be taking off the winter coats and putting on fun spring colors.
We are designing a Spring Mini-Session for April. Check back here for details as they are available. You can also check with LillyLu in downtown Bozeman. We'll be doing something in partnership with the store. Keep your receipts from your purchases at the store. If you bring a LillyLu receipt from this Spring, you'll get an added bonus from your Spring Session at loneman photography.
This coming mini-session will be the perfect time to get photos of those Spring and Easter dresses you are buying this month.
Our daughter looked so so cute in her Easter dresses but of course she grew out of them and they were handed down to our friends kids. I wish now we had taken photos of her in her dresses so we could remember those phases in her life.
Andrew
This morning Andrew came with his parents and grandmother for a photo session. The little guy is a real trooper. He has the start of a cold and tired from his baptism party yesterday but still he chatted and smiled and connected. He's a very fun little guy who makes life fun for his mom and dad.
He's exercising his tongue a lot. I think he's going to be an early talker.

Nothing brightens our days like photographing kids.
Who wouldn't want to spend their day seeing life through the eyes and mind of a child.
It's a great job!
Natural Light Photo Studio
I photograph in many lighting situations. My favorite lighting is natural light. And it seems natural light studios are all the rage of high-end photographers around the country these days. I've always used natural light more than studio lighting (though some situations defintely call for studio lighting) because natural light is so much softer, kinder and has a fresh feeling that I really like. I think it works really well for children and babies especially.
We're lucky at our studio because our space accomodates both studio lights and natural north side soft light bouncing in from neigboring warehouses.
What natural light does for our photos can be seen in this baby's eyes and the beautiful healthy skin tones.
The Kinney Kids came in today for Kolt's 4-month-old photos. These kids are so great; sweet with lots of personality. We needed no props. I like to keep it simple and straight forward so nothing gets in the way of showing off kids' personalities. I look at these images of the Kinney kids and know they are the kind of kids you'd like to know.
Wouldn't be great if we could all be this happy everyday and be thankful for what we have.
Mom and Son Bond
Yesterday I was photographing this newborn when his mom reached in to soothe his uneasiness of not being in her arms. It was that moment that I could see clearly the strong connection and bond mother and son already have.
