Kayce and Austin, May 3, 2008

Kayce and Austin were married in Billings, Montana this past weekend. The crappy weather of the past month cleared and it was a sunny warm day. The couple would have liked nature backdrops for their session but mother nature didn't cooperate with any green trees or flowers. So we did their session in downtown Billings and at the Moss Mansion where we found plenty of man made colors.

They are a sweet couple and very hip. I think their session and time together in the photos reflect them rather well.

The photos are always meant to reflect the couple's relationship and personalities. I think Kayce and Austin are going to really like these when they see them. The images are sweet and individual; just like them.

25 Really Cool Women

It's finally done. All 25 of the Really Cool Women have been photographed for our show May 9th at 7pm to raise funds and awareness for Girls for a Change. Balance magazine published a few of the images and here is another. We're trying to keep most of the images under wraps until the show so there are some surprises.

So far the reaction to the show has been very positive and we expect a great turn out. The night should be a lot of fun for everybody.

Hope you can stop by to meet a few very cool women. We think they are and I think you will too.

On Location in San Diego

Got back this week from an assignment in San Diego. It was so great to be in a warm climate for a few days. Despite the snowstorm forecast for Bozeman and the rest of Montana this weekend; I'm still glad to be back in the state. There's no place like home. We should appreciate that we don't have to live in our cars here and we know our neighbors and we can still travel the state and run into someone we know or someone who knows someone we know.

Kids Books

Clients who have seen our wedding coffee table books are now asking us to produce coffee table books of photos taken of their kids. It is a wonderful way to keep those images forever in a book that becomes a work of art for a living room. They are wonderful gifts for the grandparents as well. We are able to collect images and combine siblings together with very creative personalized design. FUN!

Making Lemonade from Snow

It is no secret that Bozeman's Spring weather has been terrible. It has done almost nothing but snow in March and April. Snow for the first 5 months was great but the snow has now become an unwelcome guest.

Rachel and Francis came to Bozeman, Montana from Chicago for their wedding recently. Thankfully, the couple are great sports and made due with the harsh cold wind and snow on their big day by taking photos in downtown Bozeman. The mountain scenes were gray and drab and the wind would have turned the couple to ice statues. So, we used colorful walls downtown and the wind shield of the walls worked out for the best. Thanks to the folks at Shack Up for the use of their art garden space.

We all still got cold but since Francis and Rachel were so game you can't see that in the images. I had fun; they had fun.

Thanks Rachel and Francis for being such sweet people.

Take a look at more images below on the web show sent to family and friends following the wedding.
